My name is Kerstin Agneta Pettersson and I am an artist. I have been this for a rather long time since I made my decision quite early. I also write; tales, poems and facts. I teach art at courses. I live in a tiny Swedish village named Laxne. Since I spent much of my time in other countries and with other languages I speak German, English, Hungarian, Spanish and a little bit of French, besides speaking Swedish, of course. Below is my signature as an artist. You will find it on all my paintings.

Very much snow just now and real winter. Will probably change in a few weeks but for the moment it is gorgeous with all the blacks and whites. I take a lot of photos to have as assets.
Summer 2016 I made three pastels of calves. I plan to make a whole series. You can see them under “More paintings”.
Once in the future, I will make a whole exhibition about water ,in many forms, both fluid and frozen.

Varför ska vi ha Konst och konstnärer? Är de verkligen nödvändiga, dessa bevärliga typer som vägrar inordna sig i systemet? Nå, ska vi helt enkelt avskaffa dem? Läs vad som händer under “Texts & more”!
Och tänk om de ritar fel saker! Så att de kränker någon… någon av alla dessa väldigt lättkränkta personer som har patent på sanningen.
Tänk så livsfarliga de är, alla dessa tecknare, som man inte har kontroll över.
You can click on “New work” above to see some of new newest paintings. There will be more in summer. And also new exhibitions!
We will also - probably- open one of the houses in our garden as a private exhibition room, open sometimes. We will put out a sign on the main road.
This photo below is not me, it is dr Göran Ohlén doing the pouring. Now the whole family is creating, in diffenrent styles. The snowman to the right is from Kasper´s hands.
Last summer we had squirrel babies in the garden, very sweet.
Right is February demo-show at Kreatima artist shop in Stockholm. I paint and talk about techniques, colours, paint history and more. I have been doing so called demos in many places and with many different “tools”.
The man with glasses came when I was having lunch. He put his finger at the painting to see if it was dry, he said.
It was not. Oil colour takes a long time to dry.
I do not care for trends and empty talk.
I love caricatures and fairytales. I think a real artist should be able to create with hands and brain and not rely upon a computer to do the job. We are not machines and that´s the beauty of it. There is still so much to learn and explore.
